Deepak Ahluwalia, Managing Partner & Founder of Singh Ahluwalia Attorneys at Law

Based in California (and originally from Brampton, Ontario), Deepak Ahluwalia is an attorney specializing in personal injury and immigration matters. Over the past decade, he has handled hundreds of removal and deportation cases in immigration courts.

In 2021, The Sikh Coalition—collaborating with the Religious Clinics at Harvard and Stanford Law Schools—leveraged Deepak’s asylum expertise to produce the report “Well-founded Fear: Understanding Legal Challenges and Best Practices for Sikh Asylum Applicants and Their Attorneys.”

His work with immigrants from diverse backgrounds has led to interviews with leading media outlets, including The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, Vice News, and CNN.

Deepak currently serves on the boards of California ChangeLawyers, Khalsa Aid USA, Sikh Coalition, Sikh Family Center, and the California Collaborative for Immigrant Justice (CCIJ).
