Fields of Expertise

Bahadur Ghataorhe is a highly skilled critical care nurse with a strong foundation in neuro and trauma ICU care, currently advancing his practice at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City. With extensive experience in managing complex neurosurgical and multisystem trauma patients, he brings precision, resilience, and clinical expertise to every aspect of patient care.

Bahadur began his nursing journey after graduating magna cum laude from the Accelerated BSN program at Samuel Merritt University. Prior to nursing, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from UC Irvine, where he was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar. His unique academic background enhances his leadership, communication, and systems-based thinking in healthcare environments.

Throughout his career, Bahadur has thrived in high-acuity settings, independently managing patients with conditions such as traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, post-craniotomy recovery, advanced cardiac issues, and multi-organ dysfunction. He is adept at ventilator management, titration of sedatives and vasopressors, and emergent airway and neuroprotective interventions. His ICU expertise is further supported by certifications including CCRN, ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale, with a pending SCRN.

A dedicated mentor and leader, Bahadur has served as a preceptor and resource nurse, contributing to staff development and clinical excellence. His leadership extended into the Professional Practice Committee, where he helped guide quality improvement initiatives.

Complementing his clinical work, Bahadur has actively shadowed CRNAs at Kaiser Permanente, gaining valuable exposure to anesthesia care in complex neurosurgical and obstetric cases. He has developed a strong interest in regional techniques, pharmacologic depth, and physiology-driven anesthesia management.

Rooted in service, Bahadur is a lifelong proponent of Seva in its endless forms, whether that be healthcare itself, taking care of others, or helping at local Gurudwaras. He is an active member of AANA, AACN, and the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program.

Driven by compassion, precision, and a deep commitment to advancing anesthesia practice, Bahadur is pursuing admission to a CRNA program where he can continue to grow as a clinician, advocate, and leader.
