Ravi Sandhu is a Senior Manager at Microsoft and a dynamic leader at the intersection of law, technology, music, and community. With over a decade of experience spanning Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and public sector collaborations, Ravi brings a multidisciplinary approach to advocacy, innovation, and cultural engagement.
Before joining Microsoft, Ravi worked in the advanced manufacturing sector, supporting companies like SpaceX, NASA, Boom Technology, and Boeing in developing cutting-edge aerospace and travel solutions through additive manufacturing (3D printing). He has also held legal roles in streaming and e-commerce, helping companies scale, achieve compliance, and go public. His legal expertise spans contracts, privacy, compliance, Ai, and emerging technologies.
Ravi holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of San Francisco, a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and a Negotiation Mastery certificate from Harvard Business School. During his time in law school, he served as a Social Justice Advocacy Intern with the Sikh Coalition, where he helped advocate for the passage of AB 1964, California’s Workplace Religious Freedom Act, and engaged in interfaith and policy work to protect Sikh civil rights.
Beyond the corporate and legal worlds, Ravi is an accomplished DJ and music producer with over 17 years of experience. His music—featured on BBC Radio, MTV India, and major U.S. television shows on Amazon Prime—blends Punjabi folk with global genres, from hip-hop to classical. He’s performed at iconic venues like the MGM Grand Garden Arena and SF Davies Symphony Hall, where he became the first artist to play live dhol alongside the San Francisco Symphony. He’s also created Punjabi renditions of legendary artists like A Tribe Called Quest and The Beatles, pushing cultural boundaries through music.
Ravi actively organizes community-centered events with San Francisco’s Non-Stop Bhangra Collective in partnership with the City of San Francisco, including festivals and night markets that bring together people from diverse backgrounds. These efforts are rooted in his belief that multicultural unity is the backbone of the American experience.
He continues to give back through seva at Gurdwaras in California, specifically in Selma and San Joaquin, and by mentoring Sikh youth via the Guru Nanak Sports Club in Fresno. Whether through law, music, or public service, Ravi is committed to advocating for the Sikh community, preserving culture, and fostering spaces where all identities are celebrated.
