Simmi Bhuller is the current Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer of The Chronicle of Higher Education. In that capacity, she oversees all business functions of the media organization, while presenting nationally on topics related to higher education.
Bhuller came to The Chronicle from PerfectServe, a Knoxville, Tenn.-based health-care-communications company, where she served as vice president for sales and operations.
Before joining PerfectServe, Bhuller spent more than 16 years developing and leading research and insights at EAB, formerly the Education Advisory Board, a research and analysis firm specializing in student enrollment and strategic services for schools and colleges. As a managing director and then executive director of EAB’s research business, Bhuller led a team of more than 70 to build new products to serve higher ed. After leaving EAB, Bhuller worked as an executive director at Politico, where she started AgencyIQ, a research business designed to serve federal agencies.
Bhuller was also appointed by Governor Ralph Northam (D-VA) to serve a four year term on the Board of Visitors at George Mason University. During her term, she served as the Secretary of the Board, and then the Vice Rector of the Board. In her capacity on the Board, she helped oversee the strategic vision and governance of the university.
Bhuller is a graduate of George Mason University, in government and international politics.
