Sukhman Dhami is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Ensaaf, a human rights organization dedicated to ending impunity for crimes against humanity committed by India. He received a two-year fellowship through the Ford Foundation to work with the Center for Justice & Accountability, and is an Echoing Green Global Fellow. Sukhman helped design and lead the largest initiative in India to investigate enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, and torture, documenting thousands of cases in Punjab. He has published on human rights, with work featured by The Hill, Christian Science Monitor, and Human Rights Watch, and he sits on the Public International Law & Policy Group’s Advisory Board. In recognition of his advocacy, Sukhman has received numerous awards and presented at leading institutions and forums about human rights in India. He earned his J.D. and M.A. from American University.
